Summary

AI can make a financial report sound polished and persuasive. But would you put your name to it?

In this live demonstration session, a familiar SME reporting task becomes a test of professional judgement as pressure builds to tell a more reassuring story. You’ll see how APES110 guardrails can be incorporated into an AI tool, followed by a demonstration showing how the AI responds to ethically challenging requests. The session will also explore the questions accountants should ask, and the checks they should perform, before relying on AI-generated guidance relating to professional standards.

The webinar will conclude with an overview of the tools, resources and guidance available through CPA Australia, along with emerging developments in this rapidly evolving area, presented by Belinda Zohrab, Regulations and Standard Lead at CPA Australia.

This session features an ethical guardrails document developed by SME Committee Member Wayne Merry,  Joint Managing Director of Accelerandos. The SME Committee thanks Wayne for making it available to participants.
