The Hon Tim Wilson MP

Federal Liberal Member for Goldstein, and Shadow Treasurer

Hon Tim Wilson MP is the Federal Liberal Member for Goldstein, and Shadow Treasurer. He previously served as Shadow Minister for Industrial Relations and Employment and Shadow Minister for Small Business.

He previously served as Assistant Minister for Industry, Energy and Emissions Reduction, where he passed laws for a new renewable energy industry and oversaw declines in Australia’s emissions.

Prior to Parliament he served as Australia’s Human Rights Commissioner advancing the rights of all Australians with responsibilities. He is author of The New Social Contract: Renewing the Liberal Vision for Australia.

Elinor Kasapidis

Chief of Policy, Standards and External Affairs

Elinor was appointed Chief of Policy, Standards and External Affairs in September 2024, where she is responsible for CPA Australia’s advocacy on behalf of members and the public, our professional standards and regulatory responsibilities including the Best Practice Program and CPD Review, as well as our external affairs function.

Gavan Ord

Business Investment and International Lead

Gavan Ord is an expert on business and the economy, with a special interest in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). He has been providing budget analysis and commentary for more than 20 years in Australia and the Asia-Pacific, with live and prerecorded appearances on mainstream TV networks, radio and podcasts, as well as print and online. 

Gavan has a focus on increasing business productivity through support for small business, education and migration reform. He meets frequently with governments to advise on the impact of policy changes on the business sector.

Jenny Wong

Tax Lead

Business Investment and International Lead

Jenny Wong is responsible for CPA Australia's tax policy and advocacy priorities. Jenny engages with the Australian Taxation Office, Commonwealth Treasury, Inspector General of Taxation and Taxation Ombudsman, Tax Practitioner’s Board and other government departments to help shape tax policy and tax law reform.

With extensive experience in professional services, including more than 25 years at KPMG, Jenny can unpack the complexities of the Australian tax system and frequently appears in the media, especially at tax time.
