Lucas Mehlhopt

Talent Advisor at C3 Talent

Lucas Mehlhopt is a Talent Advisor at C3Talent, a Brisbane owned recruitment agency. Lucas specialises in recruiting Accounting & Finance professionals across Brisbane and South East Queensland.

Originally from New Zealand, he started his recruitment career in London in 2015, before relocating to Brisbane in early 2021. Having built his own career and professional network across different countries and cities, he has developed a strong appreciation for the role relationships can play in creating opportunities and shaping careers.

His career has given him the opportunity to work with accounting professionals at all stages of their careers, from those taking their first steps into accounting through to experienced Finance Managers, Financial Controllers and CFOs.

This has given him a unique perspective on the decisions, relationships and behaviours that can influence career progression over time.

His approach to networking is practical. He believes strong professional networks are built through everyday conversations, curiosity, helping others and staying in touch, rather than relying on formal networking events alone.

Lucas is particularly interested in how people build genuine professional relationships, develop credibility within their industry, and create networks that remain valuable throughout their careers.
