Summary
Most accounting professionals have experimented with AI. Far fewer have turned it into a reliable part of their workflow. This two-part practical session explores how accounting professionals can move beyond basic AI experimentation and use AI more effectively in their day-to-day work.
Part 1 – Prompt Hygiene & Practical AI will focus on the fundamentals of creating effective and reliable prompts. Participants will explore how to provide AI with the right context, instructions, constraints and expected outputs, along with practical prompting techniques for common accounting tasks. Real-world examples will demonstrate how better prompting can improve the accuracy, consistency and usefulness of AI-generated outputs.
Part 2 – From Prompts to AI Agents will build on these concepts and explore how AI can move beyond responding to individual prompts to supporting repeatable, multi-step accounting workflows. The session will introduce AI agents, practical accounting applications, automation opportunities and how AI can work with existing accounting systems and data.
The sessions will also include practical examples of AI implementation in accounting, demonstrating how organisations can move from individual AI use cases towards more connected and automated workflows, while maintaining appropriate human oversight and controls.
Successful registrants will receive an event information email closer to the event date.
