Speaker:

Mark Johnman

Dr Mark Johnman is a data scientist who works at the intersection of data analytics, AI, and business strategy. He currently works as a Data Scientist at the City of Gold Coast, where he applies data and AI to drive better decision-making across a large public-sector organisation. 

Alongside this, he is a Data Analytics Lecturer at Bond University, teaching postgraduate students and contributing to the University's Centre for Data Analytics. Mark also runs his own consultancy, Johnman Lane, providing data analytics and AI advisory services to organisations looking to leverage the latest AI technologies and turn their data into a genuine competitive advantage. 

Mark holds a PhD in Data Analytics from Bond University, where his research focused on media mix modelling, along with qualifications in Actuarial Science and Information Technology. With a foot in industry, academia, and consulting, Mark brings a practical perspective to how business leaders can implement AI responsibly and effectively.
