Cyrus Cheung FCPA (Aust.)

Mr Cyrus Cheung is the Director - Strategic Finance & Operations at New World Development Company Limited. Prior to joining New World Development, he was a Partner in PwC Hong Kong with close to 20 years of experience in assurance and risk assurance practices. He has extensive experience in assurance, capital market transactions and sustainability advisory projects. In particular, he has extensive experience in advising listed companies to develop and improve their finance process and ESG reporting, as well as providing professional training to his clients on finance and sustainability areas. He has delivered 100+ finance and ESG related training and workshops, focusing on ESG compliance work, strategy setting, sustainability rating enhancement, green finance, climate risks and net zero commitment.
Cyrus has served the audit of companies from start-ups, private companies, multi-national conglomerates, and state-owned enterprises to blue-chip listed companies. He also has extensive experience in internal control advisory and corporate governance projects for various listed companies. Familiar with the capital market and financing activities, he has led 50+ capital market transaction projects, including very substantial acquisition and disposal, major acquisition and disposal, bond offering, privatization, and connected party transactions.
Cyrus holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where he is also a member of the school's Advisory Committee on Accounting and Finance. He is a Fellow member of CPA Australia, the 2026 Divisional President – Greater China and the Chair of the ESG Committee – Greater China of CPA Australia.

Stephen Law, JP
President of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants
Mr Stephen Law, JP is the President of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA). A Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), an Adviser to the Ministry of Finance of the People’s Republic of China, and a Justice of the Peace, he has long been committed to advancing the development of the accounting profession and contributing his professional expertise as a CPA to the nation’s economic and financial development. Through his professional leadership and public service, Stephen actively supports policies and initiatives that reinforce Hong Kong’s position as a leading international financial centre and enhance its connectivity with national development strategies.
Stephen is the Managing Director of ZhongYi Investment, where he specializes in investment and corporate finance. He is a Responsible Officer licensed by the Securities and Futures Commission for Type 9 (Asset Management) and is actively involved in emerging areas including security token offerings (STO), real‑world assets (RWA), and was instrumental in the construction of the High-speed Railway in Hong Kong.
Previously, Stephen served as an Executive Director of MTR Corporation Ltd (HK: 0066). Prior to that, he was a Managing Director of TPG, one of the world’s leading private equity firms with approximately USD200 billion in assets under management, where he was responsible for private equity investments in Asia.
Before joining TPG, Stephen was a Director of Morningside Ventures, overseeing venture capital investments, and earlier in his career focused on corporate finance and development at Wheelock Group and Wharf Group. He began his professional career with Arthur Andersen in the United Kingdom.
Beyond finance and accounting, Stephen actively engages in public and community service. He is a Board Member of Hong Kong Cyberport, the Hong Kong Dance Company, and the University of Birmingham Hong Kong Foundation Limited, and a member of the Agricultural Park Advisory Committee. He has also served as an Adjunct Professor at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and as a member of the Investment Task Force of the Construction Industry Council.
A strong advocate of good corporate governance and ESG, Stephen is the Deputy President of the Hong Kong Independent Non‑Executive Director Association and Chair of its Corporate Governance Committee, and a member of the HKSAR Green Tech Fund Assessment Committee.
Stephen holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Birmingham and an MBA from the University of Hull, United Kingdom.
