Summary

Join us for an engaging conversation on mental health, wellbeing and recovery with Helen Pearson, former HR Director at the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) and volunteer speaker for Beyond Blue.

Helen will share information from Beyond Blue on anxiety, depression and other common mental health conditions, including their prevalence and the importance of seeking support early. Drawing on her own lived experience, she'll speak openly about her mental health journey, the challenges she faced, and her path to recovery.

Following the presentation, Helen will join Mel Yates for a panel discussion exploring the importance of reducing stigma, encouraging help-seeking, and supporting those around us. Attendees will also learn about the free support services and resources available through Beyond Blue.

This webinar was inspired by the Gippsland Branch's commitment to raising awareness of mental health and encouraging open conversations across our community.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Support positive conversations about mental health and wellbeing.
  • Identify practical ways to reduce stigma and encourage help-seeking.
