Summary
On behalf of the Tasmanian Public Practice Committee, members are invited for a private site tour of Westland Nurseries, a large scale production nursery, totally Tasmanian owned and operated, employing over 40 Tasmanians.
The tour will cover the entire nursery, including native and exotic advanced trees and shrubs. Hear first-hand about the successes and challenges of running a multi-faceted business, including navigating family business succession, workforce planning, and the operation of multiple business entities.
There will also be time to network over a coffee and light morning tea.
Transport is optional, with a bus departing Hobart city at 8.30am sharp, and returning to the same city location at approximately 11.30am.
