Summary
Beyond the big end of town... how big four expertise can create value for SMEs
When we think of the Big Four accounting firms, we often associate them with large corporations, multinational businesses and complex transactions. But what value can their expertise bring to small and medium-sized enterprises?
Join us on Thursday, 26 November 2026, for our final SME Discussion Group event of the year, generously hosted by KPMG at its Adelaide offices, as we explore how Big Four expertise, insights and resources can support the growth, sustainability and long-term success of SMEs.
Our discussion will explore:
- Beyond traditional accounting: How Big Four firms can support SMEs through strategic advisory and business improvement.
- Growth and succession: Helping business owners navigate expansion, business valuations, succession planning and potential exits.
- Technology and innovation: How SMEs can benefit from emerging technologies, including AI and digital transformation.
- Managing risk and complexity: Navigating an increasingly challenging regulatory, financial and business environment.
- Practical opportunities: How SMEs can access and benefit from expertise traditionally associated with larger organisations.
Face-to-face attendance is limited to just 20 participants, providing an opportunity for an interactive discussion and networking over wine and cheese.
For those unable to attend in person, the event will also be streamed live via Zoom, enabling participants from across Australia and beyond to join the discussion.
Who should attend?
This session will be particularly relevant to SME owners, accountants, CFOs, business advisors and professionals interested in understanding how specialist advisory expertise can create value for smaller and growing businesses.
As this is our final SME Discussion Group event for 2026, we look forward to bringing our professional community together to reflect on another successful year of discussions, shared insights and valuable connections.
